Player Highlight Videos
« on: June 26, 2013, 03:45:14 PM »
Just found some highlight movies of Dusty, Cotch and Lids and thought I would share -

Music pretty ordinary imo but vision is impressive.

I find it interesting that we don't seem to see the same 'highlights' from these players this year (other than that Cotch goal last week and Lids running goal earlier in the year against WB) yet we seem a better side......

Underlines the importance of the rest of the midfield. Foley, Jackson and Tuck are good footballer that will never be world beaters but do a lot of the grunt work in the middle. Conca, Ellis and Vlaustin are expected to perform cameo roles but some of our over improvement has to be attributed to them (particularly Conca) because they are regularly performing above expectations and providing consistent effort. Effectively they are taking up the slack that is created from our better players being tagged mercilessly.

Other players like Grigg, Houli and Newman are 2nd tier midfielders which are also getting off the leash a bit. If these players, along with the three young 'guns' continue to hurt opposition mids they will be payed more respect and attention which in turn frees up Lids, Cotch and Martin.

It's an ongoing cycle of unpredictability we want to encourage. The less predictable our set ups become through the center and around the ground, the harder it is for the opposition to plan against us.  :thumbsup

Looking forward to a movie made on Flossy, Conca and Ellis going forward!  :cheers
