I'm not pinching myself, I'm boarding a plane to Freo to get Ryan Crowley to do it for me!

As mentioned in another thread, I really like this kid and watched him play a fair bit. Had a really solid season in 2012 but was obviously on the outer this year at GWS.

This is more like it - memo to Francis re: next Rookie Draft - this x 2-3 plus a young ruckman please.

Anthony Miles on RSN (audio and summary)

AUDIO: Anthony Miles interviewed by Micky McGuane and Michael Christian on RSN ...

http://www.rsn.net.au/audioplayer/1385591211.mp3

Summary:

* Yeah it’s a pretty exciting phase for them [Richmond].  Playing finals last season obviously was a big thrill for them. I’m just excited to get down there and start cracking into the preseason.

* This year was a little bit frustrating. The Giants have got a lot of midfielders at the moment. So certainly no hard feelings for how it ended there but now I’m just looking forward to getting to Richmond.

* I played a variety of roles.  I had a bit of a tagging role, as well, in that handful of games I played  in 2012. Good to play under Sheeds and Choco. Hopefully with Choco at Richmond, those opportunities continue next year.

* Something that I pride myself on is my stoppage work.  Now, an area of focus for me, is to be able to get out and spread from the stoppage.  But I’ve probably addressed a little bit of that.

* From Howlong which 30 mins from Albury-Wodonga and 3 hours from Melbourne. He captained the NSW/ACT Rams at U16 and U18 level and living on the border was able to play for the Murray Bushrangers in the U17/U18s.

* Haven't spoken to Dimma yet about my role. Will sit down in the next couple of days and nut something out.

* Phone call a couple of weeks ago that Richmond wouldn't be taking him. Then Blair Hartley rang two days before the draft forewarning they might be picking me up so don't fall off your chair. Fortunate in getting picked up at pick 27 yesterday.

* Had a quick chat with Choco yesterday welcoming me to the Club. I reckon Choco may have had a bit of say and I get along with Choco really well. I pride myself on my inside game and Choco rates the inside part of the game.
