Family Day 2015 --- Sunday, March 1 @ Punt Rd

Richmond’s 2015 Family Day will be held at the ME Bank Centre on Sunday, March 1.

The event will be run the morning after Richmond’s opening pre-season game against the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval (February 28).

The Family Day will be held from 10.30am until 2pm, and entry is via gold coin donation.

There will be plenty of activities for all the family, including live music, player autograph marquees, kids’ rides and activities, face painters, Richmond mascots and the presentation of the players’ 2015 guernseys on stage.

Richmond memberships and merchandise will also be available for purchase on the day.

All Richmond players will be in attendance. Autographs will take place in various marquees around the oval from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

The jumper presentation will commence on stage at 1pm, at which time Tiger fans will hear from Club President Peggy O’Neal, and senior coach Damien Hardwick.

PARKING: Parking is available for all Richmond members and supporters in the Yarra Park carpark for $10 per car. Access to the carpark is from 9am, via Gate 5 and Gate 7.

ENTRY: Entry into the ME Bank Centre is via Gate 1 and Gate 3 (Gate 2 will remain closed).
Gates open at 10am.

Picnic rugs and chairs are welcome, and food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.

The Richmond museum will be open from 9am – 2pm. An admission fee of $5 applies (kids free).

Thousands of Richmond fans turned out for the club's family day on Sunday and Miles said it was exciting to see the level of support amongst the Tiger faithful.

"It's been fantastic. We know we've got a great following but it's a surprise every year," Miles aid.

"You rock up here at 10.30 and you see the line nearly back to the MCG."

Coach Damien Hardwick told fans the Tigers would continue to go places this season.

"We’re a finals bound footy club," Hardwick said.

"We've got to make sure we continue to improve in a lot of areas and we've got to continue to strive to get the ultimate improvement going forward."

The Tigers also at their Family Day that they had reached 63,000 members.
