BREAKING NEWS:

SPECULATION is mounting that Ben Cousins will be a late withdrawal from Richmond’s team to confront Fremantle on Sunday.

It is believed Cousins is in danger of missing the trip despite being named as an addition to the squad last night.

If he does fail to board the plane to Perth, it is highly unlikely it is linked to the happenings in Sydney a fortnight ago.

The Footy Show last night reported Cousins handed teammate Luke McGuane a sleeping pill, playing a role in the defender snoozing through his alarm and missing a recovery session.

Cousins played in the VFL last week after being suspended from AFL action for one week and has been seen to have done his time for the involvement in the night gone wrong at Sydney’s Intercontinental Hotel.

The veteran midfielder has had issues with his body, missing Round 2 against the Bulldogs with a knee injury.

Really sorry and sad to say this but I can't wait until the end of the year when Cousins leaves. I have listened to about enough of the Cousins circus since the Eagles sacked him, actually when he was with the Eagles too.

For what it is worth Temazepam is used by probaly 50% of nightshift workers.

Standard sleeping pill. Is as safe as Nurofen or a Pandaol.

Caro on 3aw basically said Barrett was talking crap. Cousins wasn't suspended for the sleeping pill. He was suspended for being out at 3am and for other things. Tim Lane couldn't believe the sleeping pill story was news.
