Now that Jake's been done for defending himself against a sniper  >:(

OUT: King

IN: Batchelor (if fit) or Tuck

Tuck in yes, if we are playing for now, Gourdis in if we want to see what he offers for the future. Unfortunately Tuck has not been in favor since the start of the season, why play him now.

Of course we are playing for now that is 9th  :rollin :rollin

Herald-Sun footy barometer - RICHMOND

SUSPENDED: Jake King has been given an extension on deciding whether to challenge his one-match ban.

ON THE BLOCK: Jake King has been granted a 24-hour extension to appeal his one-week ban for striking Brisbane's Ash McGrath.

ON THE CUSP: David Gourdis, Angus Graham, Shane Tuck and Ben Nason.

MICK WARNER'S FORECAST: Nason or Tuck are likely to come in for King if he accepts a one-game suspension. Key defender David Gourdis shut down Brendan Fevola in Coburg's upset win over Casey and picked up 20 possessions. Shane Tuck, ruckman Angus Graham and youngster Brad Helbig also impressed in the VFL. Matt White played well but was injured late in the game. Mitch Morton was solid game in his comeback.

RICHMOND - In the Mix

The Tigers play a home game at the MCG against Melbourne on Saturday afternoon after three weeks on the road. David Gourdis continued to push his case for a senior recall with a best on ground performance for Coburg in the win against Casey with Matt White (who suffered an injury late in the game), Shane Tuck and Angus Graham also named in the best players. Coach Damien Hardwick looks set to make at least one change to the team that defeated the Brisbane Lions after Jake King ran foul of the match review panel for striking Ash McGrath.

IMHO Tuck should have been played from round one, he also should of played in the games that we only just lost and he didn't. His form for Coburg suggested many times that he should have been selected to play more than he has.

Unfortunately he has been on the outer since the start of the season, if we wnated to win games earlier rather than blood youth, he should of played. So why play him now when we are over half way through the season??? He won't be there next year.

IMO play Gourdis and lets see what he has to offer.

Gourdis would be a better ruck option than miller.

Superior athletic ruck

Can't agree with the anti-Miller proponents.  He was very important to the way our forward took control in the middle of the game.

also gave us a chop out in the ruck

Certainly did, have to say it was a smart move considering how good Vickery was going up forward - he and Jack clicked as a forward team last night. Made sense to have Miller pinch hit in the ruck... surprsied we haven't done it more often to be honest

Would say NO CHANGES

Agreed. Need to beat Melbourne no matter where we end up at seasons end.
