Thomas gets the ball then hands balls to to a stationary target or slaps in on the boot. This is another reason why we have struggled to break away from the packs this year. I would play Miles every day of the week over Thomas if it was my choice. Hampson hits the taps to advantage but that has made us very predictable around stoppages - he isn't switching his tap work but rather going to the same spots. Maric is very clever in how he marshals the troops around contests, creates space and changes up where the maneuvers the ball. Hampson tends to tap it to the same spot and same player. This means good stats but less time and space for the clearance.
Sometimes the whole Moneyball/players recruited using stats doesn't always show the real picture.
