Well stuff me, Vickery did get dropped ahead of Griffiths after all..... genuinely surprised but happy....
and Grigg is still in
Guess two miracles in one week are too much to ask for.....doubt he'll ever be dropped under Hardwick - hell he even received 2 coaches votes last week.....guessing neither were from Leon Cameron.
im going to go against the grain - Grigg deserves his spot, did a very good job on Ward last week. He also didn't get any credit for holding Selwood to about 6 touches against the cats in the 1st half 3 weeks ago. Lids did a good job in the 3rd and I think Jackson went onto him in the last. He's being asked to do a different role now and Ive noticed he's laid more tackles the past 3 weeks than he had the rest of the season. Don't ask me how he's doing it,(bc I cant explain it) but he's actually showing some decent signs as a run with player
Agree with this TM. I'm not a huge fan of Grigg, nor are many, but it's obvious they are grooming him as a tagger / run with player. Controversial as he has a reasonably poor defensive game but he's surprised over the last few weeks. If he can improve in that area we may find ourselves a negating midfielder which was have missed ever since we gave Jackson freedom to be a ball player again.
Same, Im not a grigg apologist and not a fan either tbh. but one thing Ive always believed in is a fair go. If he was dropped prior to the geelong game I would have

but when a player starts showing signs of improvement, you must give them a chance. Edwards the same boat, was just as bad as Grigg the first 5-6 weeks, but since the geelong game he's become a contributor. If either of them drop off again then no dramas with dropping them, but not now when they're actually contributing.
