Tigers confident in their list and development

The Richmond Football Club is confident that they have most of the pieces required to take them to the next level.

An extended winning run at the back end of last season has confirmed that the improvement required for success will mostly come from the players they already have, according to general football manager Dan Richardson.

“We know that we need a lot of improvement but we feel that most of that improvement can come from continued development from within.

“We’ve also been really clear on our strategy to invest in this year’s draft and even by bringing Taylor (Hunt) in we’re still keen to do that,” Richardson said on SEN radio.

He also noted that the club is continuously planning for the future and will continue to make decisions that serve the club best in the long term.

“Like all clubs we’re making sure we’ve got the salary cap room to do what we need to do to improve our list in the coming years.

“It’s fair to say that we’re setting ourselves up for the next few years and certainly we’ll be working hard (to attract free agents).”

Hoskin-Elliott looks a star in the making so I'd be happy to get him but Treleor or Cameron would be my 1st choice of the out of contract GWS kids.
Hopefully we've got one of them locked away before the 2015 season starts.

they'll talk it up between now and next june and july ... and then as usual they will come up empty handed. that's how they roll in the Richmond football department. Its all about getting members to renew, when the cash is in the club accounts and they've met their own internal budgets and catered for staff pay increases they will start to roll out the annual excuses about how unlucky they were in targeting players and all the rest of the bulltish they peddle. No one should be getting hopes up for any decent players, they will just bring in another 1 or 2 el cheapo players from the brotherhood bins and claim it as a big success :lol

Nah Ramps, they never admit they got it wrong - as soon as they know it won't  happen they'll start peddling the new visions and dreams for 2016, keep dangling that carrot in front of our faces

so if he hardwick and others are wrong will they have the guts to fall on their swords and quit.

we sit on our hands and do little to improve the list, yes that is the fact no matter how they try to spin it, then they had better be right.
