We were two years and 33 games per player younger and less experienced than Essendon last night  :thumbsup.

That's going to happen when the opposition has a 40 year old playing his 400th game.

Got the shock of my life seeing Dustin Fletcher's son run out with the team - looked old enough to be playing
Apparently, if Fletcher is stilling playing in two years time then his son will be old enough to be drafted and play alongside him  :o.

Cotch in the clear from the MRP.

Other matters assessed:

Contact between Richmond's Trent Cotchin and Essendon’s Jake Carlisle from the half-time break of Saturday’s match was assessed. The players were moving from the ground at half-time when the teams came together. Player Carlisle was next to Cotchin when the Richmond player pushed him with an open hand to the chest area. It was the view of the panel that Cotchin's action was not a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

Cotch (HFF) and B.Ellis (Int) have been named in the AFL website's team of the week ...

TRENT COTCHIN (Richmond) - The Tigers are charging again and their captain is at the forefront. Cotchin collected 24 possessions on Saturday night – 14 contested – and kicked two goals as well as winning six clearances. He was challenged, along with Brett Deledio and Ivan Maric, at half-time to be more influential at the stoppages, and delivered as the Tigers got home by 13 points.

BRANDON ELLIS (Richmond) - In one of the young Tiger's best games, Ellis helped his team over the line against Essendon with 33 disposals, eight marks and five clearances. Ellis ran himself ragged at both ends of the ground and typified Richmond's relentless workrate.

Ellis didn't do that much.
Ran out of puff and gave up the chase. I saw that......
Caracella and Balmey.
