JEREMY WHO? DON'T DISCOUNT TIGERS FLYER

RICHMOND star Jack Riewoldt says "little" Shai Bolton could be Jeremy Howe's biggest threat in the Mark of the Year.

"If anyone is going to take a hanger on anyone, he will stand on my shoulders," Riewoldt said.

"He has got the most phenomenal leap, and he's an extremely exciting kid.

Bolton has played just three AFL games but Riewoldt has witnessed firsthand at Punt Rd the 175cm speedster's aerial prowess.

"I know Jeremy Howe is an extremely good mark, and a very very big high flyer but if Shai Bolton gets a run at it he could jump over me, he could jump over Sandilands that's how high he can jump," Riewoldt told RSN 927.

"As soon as the hanger bag comes out at training, don't worry, all the tools are dropped and he's making a beeline straight over there and the coach usually throws the hanger bag on to so it's a good chance for some of the players."

Prolific flyer Howe has a mortgage on the 2017 Mark of the Year, soaring over former teammate Tom McDonald in the Queen's Birthday blockbuster to take one of the most incredible grabs of all time.

"They've probably got the best forward in the land and we've probably got the best backman in the land," Riewoldt said.

"Bar last year, Rancey has been really good against Buddy... he's such a match-winner for them that Alex has to play right up to his best to go with him and he's certainly really important from that point of view."
