Who is our best Rising Star chance?
« on: February 19, 2021, 03:38:08 PM »
Foxfooty.com.au profiles every club’s top Rising Star contender and smokey for the award.

RICHMOND

Best chance: Richmond supporters who have religiously watched the VFL in recent times certainly would’ve caught the eye of Riley Collier-Dawkins. The tall midfielder weaves through the stoppages and has shown burst to get the ball moving deep towards goal with a long boot. He is still yet to debut and will find it hard to break into the Tigers best 22. But if there’s any opening in the club’s midfield group, expect Damien Hardwick to turn to the 21-year-old given the lofts heights the club expect internally.

Smokey: Could we see enough of Maurice Rioli Jr for him to push his case as a Rising Star winner? Potentially. The Tigers won’t be rushing the lively small forward who has impressed in the Northern Territory. The cousin of Cyril has tricks around goal and has improved his running ability over the pre-season.
