Richmond Tigers a $3.25 chance of finishing top 4 in AFL season 2016

*    Richmond won 13 of last 16 games in 2015
*    Jack Riewoldt is high up in Coleman Medal markets

After a topsy turvy season that saw them finish 5th at the end of the home and away season before bowing out in week 1 of the finals, Richmond are at $3.25 to finish top 4 at the end of 2016.

The Tigers have been a bit of a nightmare in recent years, not only for their long-suffering fans but also for AFL punters in general.

Damien Hardwick's men looked like world-beaters when the knocked over Hawthorn late in the season and had earlier ended Fremantle's unbeaten run at Domain Stadium.

A slow start to the year counted against them in the end and their capitulation to North Melbourne in the Elimination Final provided heartbreak for their fans, given it was the third year in succession that the Tigers had bowed out in week 1 of the finals series.

Hardwick will be desperately trying to steer his side into the top four in 2016 so his side can gain the double chance. The $3.25 on offer may seem a tad short but the Tigers did win 13 of their last 16 home and away games in 2015 and should head into next season as hungry as ever.

They are expected to feature in finals football in 2016 but it will be tight if the yellow and black get off to another slow start. They are currently at $1.60 to make the top 8, while they for opposition fans who seem to take pleasure in the Tigers misfortune, you can get as much as $2.35 for them of missing out on finals.

Chris Yarran heads to Punt Rd after being secured in the trade period from Carlton and he is joined by Andrew Moore from Port Adelaide and Jacob Townsend from G.W.S. Daniel Rioli, the cousin of Cyril, comes to the club through the AFL Draft.

Rioli is as much as $101 to take out the NAB Rising Star with sportsbet. Corey Ellis is the pick of the Tigers young guns in Rising Star betting at $41.

In Coleman Medal markets, Jack Riewoldt is at the $12 quote to kick the most goals in the home and away competition next season, while in the Brownlow, Trent Cotchin is the leading hope for the Tigers at $26. Dustin Martin is just behind Cotchin in Brownlow Medal betting at $31.
