Here's the article:

Richmond president hit for millions
17 December 2005
Herald Sun
Damian Barrett

NEW Richmond president Gary March received more bad news in court yesterday, with the Full Federal Court ruling his private company be added to a class action seeking $5 million.

March's company, Concept Sports, will now officially be included among seven respondents, including March, in the civil proceedings.

Lawyers are representing 129 clients in the action, which will be heard in the Federal Court next year.

The class action against March and his company is looming as a major concern for Richmond, which stabilised on and off-field operations this year after a tumultuous 2004.

Some corporate Tigers members are angered March assumed the presidency while the litigation was unfolding.

Richmond chief executive Steven Wright would not comment on March's situation yesterday.

March is managing director of Concept Sports, which has merchandising and event contracts with some of the world's biggest sporting bodies.

He assumed Richmond's presidency last month after a vote by directors following the resignation of Clinton Casey. A director since 2002, he was a member of the Casey ticket that won last year's bloody battle for control of Punt Rd.

Former Richmond president Leon Daphne is also a respondent in the Concept Sports class action, having held the position of company chairman between March and December last year.

The action against March and Concept Sports alleges a misleading prospectus was issued to the marketplace.

We're probably wait till around or after the AGM (and board re-elections) in January before making a decision. Let the 9 board members for 2006 decide. I wouldn't be surprised if March hangs around temporarily then stands down.
