Top 10 games of 2005
« on: January 04, 2006, 06:16:33 PM »
The AFL site has listed its best 10 games of the year - http://afl.com.au/default.asp?pg=news&spg=display&articleid=241873

Would've thought one of our close games against the Lions at the Gabba or the Eagles at the 'G would have been ahead of a couple listed there. The Brissy game was a tense and neck and neck affair all night with Browny getting us over the line in the end while the Eagles one had huge momentum swings with the class of Judd just denying us victory.

What about the 2004 Wooden Spooners beating the reigning Premiers?

Yeah I was surprised that Tigers -v- Eagles at the MCG didn't rate in the top 10. It was just a great game - if we'd won it I have no doubts we would have made the finals. First game after Browny broke his leg. :clapping

The other one I thought was a ripper was in round 20 (I think it was round 20 :help) when the Tigers took on the Bulldogs - it was just a great advertisemnt for fast running and attacking footy - bummer we lost but geez it was great to watch. IMHO much better than a Grand Final that had what a total of 12 goals for the entire game  :banghead
