TOO EARLY FOR TIGERS TO TALK FINALSJames Mottershead

5 July 2017Jack Riewoldt is trying to keep a lid on it but the Richmond spearhead is happy to admit the Tigers have found their roar and are ready to sink their teeth into the last eight rounds.
Richmond has been touted as a premiership fancy as it sits inside the top four and is strong possibility of securing a double chance for the first time since 2001.
Riewoldt believes the Tigers are a more balanced side but didn’t want to talk finals just yet.
“We’ve found our brand and identity,” Riewoldt said.
”We seem to be playing some really good football and playing up to the standards we expect every week.
Asked about finals excitement, Riewoldt replied: “There’s still eight weeks to go so plenty of football and water to go under the bridge."
Riewoldt said Richmond now had the ability to hang around in contests and possesses greater resilience, which was on show last week when the rampant Tigers overran Port Adelaide in the second half.
It was the sixth time this season the Tigers have got the better of an opponent in the second half.
“We’ve been in plenty of games, as we were on the weekend, where we weren’t playing the football we like but have managed to grind out a pretty resounding win,” he said.
“The strength of our side is the ability to hang around in the contest.”
