Not smart being on the soup after what happened (if true)
Not smart being seen to be on the soup

Just not a smart thing to have done full stop

Where is the evidence that something actually happened?
This sounds like a good yarn.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

To be fair you could've said that about Martin back then too... :shh

Interesting that CCJ has not been linked to a club.  Reckon he's a star ⭐ so glad if we stick with him.

The only thing that i hear consistency is that the penny has not yet dropped and we are exercising a lot of patience which must be wearing thin.
That in no way validates the twitter content

Coleman-Jones and Sydney Stack to return to Punt Road in early December

By Peter Ryan
The Age
November 29, 2020

Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones will return to training at Richmond in early December with the club set to embrace the pair as they attempt to put the hub indiscretion that led to them being sent home from Queensland in September behind them.

The Tigers confirmed that both players would begin their pre-season when most first and fourth year players from other clubs return, with the pair understood to be keen to work hard on the track as they take their first steps towards earning a spot in the reigning premiers' line-up.

Stack and Coleman-Jones made headlines in September when they were involved in a late-night scuffle outside the Kebab Zone situated in Surfer's Paradise's night club district after leaving the club's Gold Coast hub in breach of the AFL's strict protocols.

They were suspended for 10 matches but with the Tigers playing two home and away and four finals matches since on their way to back-to-back premierships they will be available for selection in the AFL team by round five 2021.

The club also declared at the time that the players would pay the $75,000 fine imposed however after push-back from the players' managers and the AFL Players' Association and with the emotion receding, the club acknowledged that a solution was likely to be reached between the player and the club although any agreement has been kept under wraps.

Neither player was in the team at the time the incident occurred however Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo suffered an ACL injury in round 17 that ruled him out for the season so the Tigers were forced to play just one ruckman, Toby Nankervis, for the finals in Coleman-Jones' absence.

After their initial anger subsided the Tigers hierarchy firmly committed to the two players with three-time premiership coach Damien Hardwick publicly backing the pair on the eve of the club's preliminary final clash with Port Adelaide to learn from their mistake.

"We're supportive of them as a club. We are incredibly disappointed in their actions but the fact of the matter it's a learning opportunity for both of those boys," Hardwick said.

"They can either sit there and think about what they have done and dwell on it or grow from it. We will continue to support those boys. They are Richmond men. We love what they bring when they are at their very best. They made a mistake and we will continue to invest in those boys."

Stack returned to Western Australia and Coleman-Jones to South Australia after the incident.

Have to say that now my own emotions have settled I am also very happy we are sticking by these two.

When you look at what Collingwood has done to their players we really are the best example in the league and a destination club in every way a player could hope for (bar maybe an pay day).

They can come to us for success, huge fan base and club profile, best theme song, best player support whether we stick by them or trade them out. Other than easy money we have it all. Stack and CCJ will thrive if they have it between the ears.

So proud of the club!

The AFL confirmed to the Herald Sun that banned Tigers Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones can play VFL and pre-season games until their suspensions for COVID breaches expire after Round 4.

EARNING BACK RESPECT THE GOAL FOR STACK AND COLEMAN-JONES

BY SEN
7 December 2020

Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones returned to Richmond training today and begin a 2021 campaign to win back the trust of the football world.

The Tiger duo were suspended for 10 games and booted out of Queensland late in the 2020 season after breaching quarantine rules and getting in a fight outside of a Surfers Paradise strip club.

Richmond was also fined $100,000 for the indiscretion.

Club CEO Brendon Gale has full confidence both players will earn back the respect of their teammates and the community.

“They returned today to training which commenced for first to fourth year players,” Gale told SEN’s Bob and Andy.

“We had a bunch of young fellas down there, but look there’s a lot of interest in those two lads for obvious reasons, we don’t need to go back over that, but they’ve been held accountable, they’ve paid a heavy price for their mistakes.

“At the end of the day, they’re fine young men, they’re our men, they’re Tigers and we’ll put our arm around them and we’ll support them and love them and help them reload.

“They’re both extremely talented players, each in their own way and arguably they might have missed a chance to play in a premiership, who knows.

“They’ve paid a heavy price, they’re important players and they’ll put their head down and we’ll help them win back the respect of the group and the community and they will because they’re fine men.”

I have probably written this before, but of all the truly “unknown” talents on our list, these 2 have star qualities more than any other IMO, and could anything if they get their heads right (especially Stack)

They made a mistake in a really tough year- but the Tiger family couldn’t have handled this any better.
