In the Mix: Round 22

Without an obvious replacement for Nick Vlastuin (ribs), the Tigers may have to shuffle the magnets somewhat. Ben Miller has been a floating tall for the past few weeks across all three lines, but may be needed for a permanent defensive role, opening the door for the recall of Ivan Soldo. Kamdyn McIntosh was thrown into defence after Vlastuin's injury, with medi-sub Jason Castagna moving into a wing role, which is another option. Riley Collier-Dawkins (30 disposals, 12 clearances) was outstanding in the VFL, while Hugo Ralphsmith (21 and a goal) could fill the wing role if required and Shane Edwards (general soreness) should be available for selection.

Verdict: Soldo for Vlastuin, with Miller pushed to defence. Edwards to replace Castagna as sub.

No way should we bring Soldo in. Nank + Miller/Balta is working well.

KMac did well in the backline I thought. Dow + RCD to come in for George and Floss.

Short to the wing.

One change - Edwards for Vlaustin.

Castagna was the 23rd man - so is not an official 'out'

People need to understand how the medi sub works

Nick Vlastuin remains a chance to face Hawthorn at the MCG on Sunday after suffering a rib injury in the win over Port Adelaide last Saturday night.

Veteran Shane Edwards is expected to return to take on the Hawks after being rested following his 300th game in round 20.

Dimma also said Mansell was in consideration. Depends on where we play Kmac. Dimma was happy with Kmac last week filling in  for Vlastuin's role when Floss went off.

Hopefully the MC doesn't do something stupid like drop Maurice for Sheds.

Anyway, expecting a straight swap of Edwards for Floss if the latter doesn't play. If Floss is somehow right by Sunday then I'd just swap the sub (Sheds for George).

From the training photos: Mansell, Ralphsmith, Stack and Aarts were with the main group.

Also Daniel and Maurice Rioli were absent as they were up in the Tiwi Islands for Willie Rioli's father's funeral.
