A sharp-clawed little birdie once told me he was soft.... :shh

2. Grimes' courage under fire

One of the few Tigers to show genuine fight was defender Dylan Grimes. Late in the second quarter, with his team copping a hiding and in desperate need of inspiration, Grimes dared to go where others fear to tread. He ran back with the flight of the ball into an oncoming Tim Membrey and copped a forearm to the face. Somehow Grimes had taken the mark. Momentarily motionless, he somehow regained his feet and shook off the Tiger trainer to take his kick and play out the rest of the quarter with a bruised, scuffed face and an apparently scrambled brain as he seemed a little disorientated before the half-time siren. It was no surprise when Grimes failed to reappear after the long interval.

Yeh great effort by grimes. The game was effectively over as well so it's not as if he really had to go back. Hopefully shows some other softies how to go about it

It was an outstanding act of courage. Furthermore it shows his professional attitude of attempting to try his best at all times. It was really disappointing to see the reaction of his team mates afterwards. Only one being Prestia got stuck into Membrey and that was only half hearted.

Nah he's soft as butter. Richmond losing on Saturday night was really due to his softness...

How many here dont think Brandy Ellis soft anyone? yet Brandy will go with the flight of the ball.

I see what i see but i will say Grimes has been v good the last 12  18 months. But ya just know these type of cats never change their spots.Lets just say once or thrice bitten thrice shy.

Na stuff it the bloke is soft and ya can like it or lump it.

Grimes has always been hard at it. From the first game he played for us. Never seen him shirk a contest or panic the way others do. He's a deadset legend in my book and always has been.

B Ellis sleeps with the light on.

Comparing him with Grimes is a wee bit silly. I'd love to say something else, but the worlds gone soft (like Ellis) and as a result political correctness is boss

I'd like just one example of him being soft (like the plenty available of BEllis going soft) and maybe I'd entertain the idea but until then this is just Claw wanting to disagree with everyone

I like Claws work usually but the Grimes call is nearly as bad as his Rance call all those years ago.
Grimes is as hard as a cats head. And you wouldn't say that about more than only a couple on any AFL list.

I bet he plays this week
