Footballing brains
« on: November 24, 2010, 04:57:05 PM »
i know most of us cringe when Luke McGuane gets the ball or when Kingy has a brainfade, yet we seem excited when Cotch cruises thru traffic looking to spear the ball at Jack.  There are some players who seem to lack footy smarts and some who ooze with it.

Who are yr footy dumbasses and einsteins?

I agree re. Jacko but it's not a popular view.  the women, in particular, love him.  However i reckon is a dumb footballer.

tambling (oops hes gone) ;D
King
Tuck

Einstein
Trent Cotchin
Jack Riewoldt
Deledio(underated in this area, rarely if ever makes dumb decisions)
Astbury(am ery impressed with how he reads the play)
Nason(watch his off the ball running, once we stop turning it over so much, this guy will kill opposition sides if used properly)

Will be interested to see how Conca goes in this department

Trent, Jack and Brett have football brains. Newman also has football smarts. Believe if Taylor develops he could become a very smart footballer.

:thumbsup I know of a few old bunnies that love him. Bit of a dumbar$e on the field he is too, but a decent player.

Graham and McGuane both lack smarts. Riewoldt is a genius and so is Morton, IMO.
