Which teams will we finish above on the ladder in 2011 ?
« on: February 05, 2011, 01:38:11 PM »
I believe we are every chance of finishing above....

1) West  Coast.....have recruited very poorly over the last couple of years with not many quality kids comming through.John Worsfold seems to be a coach in massive denial.Johnny has also taken the title of world champion "Spin doctor" since TW got given the flick.

2) Brisbane....Micheal Voss tried to take short cuts and boy has he paid the price.Need to get rid of the cancerous Fevola.

3) Essendon.....I am sure there will be a "Honeymoon" period with the messiah James Hird. However even Geez James can not turn p00 into strawberry jam

4) Port Adelaide.....Seem to be footballs equivalent of Mitchel Johnson.Boiling Hot or freezing Cold. I have heard that Matthew Primus is a "real leader of men" so who knows.

Teams that we may finish above ( but I seriously doubt it )

* Melbourne....These tankers seem about 12 months more advanced than us
*North....up and down each year like a yo-yo
* Adelaide...Great club, great coach but their window has closed and should be in full rebuilding mode.
* Hawthorn...with each passing year 2008 is looking like the biggest fluke in recent memory.

We should finish above Brisbane and Gold Coast. Voss' Lions are in turmoil while the Suns will take 12 months at least to jell and develop all of their first round picks. It's then a toss up with the Eagles and Bombers. There's always at least one club that crashes out of the finals from the year before and has a shocker and it wouldn't surprise me if it was someone like Freo. A club like North will finish ahead of us this year but given they still rely on an older core (Harvey, Rawlings, Petrie, Firrito, Pratt etc) I'm hoping we bypass them by 2013.

Not one of my favourites but think the Tassie Hawks maybe the great white hope to keep the skunks from back to back.
We play well against them all the same,  but they discover some form we wont finish above them.

Will

Gold Coast
Brisbane
Wce
Essendon

Maybe

North
Port
Adelaide
Sydney
Carlton

Doubt it

Hawks
Demons

No

Skunks
Aints
Dogs
Dockers
Cats

That the lot?
