In all those photos it looks like he is a front rower playing union. Out of all the blokes we scored today, this is the one I'd love to see make it. A big, strong, genuinely robust tank to stand the back line.

LOL!  As long as he doesn't do any Hopoate style prostate checks on the field he will go great guns.

Good closing speed, and a very good leap.  Hope it works out for Piv :)

Went to the Club 80 function and met all the new recruits including Piva. He was hilarious! One of the reasons he may of dropped so far is his refreshingly 'quirky nature'. When he interviewed by Francis Jackson before the draft he was asked what he thought of the prospect of playing on someone such as Tom Hawkings. His reply was in a thick accent - 'I'd smash him! He no good - I knock him out when umpires not looking'. Another funny answer to a question was about the Collingwood player - Blair was - 'he looked like he was walking his dog not playing a grand final - no good!'

He was a real character and was even bigger across the shoulders in reality that what the photos indicate. His dad was absolutely massive (makes Buddy Franklin's dad look tiny) so he could become huge very quickly.

The players I spoke to who had played with him say he is very underrated and is a great blanketing Fullback. :thumbsup
