As a few mentioned in the game thread I too started thinking when the hawks went 25 up that it was a mistake to play soldo given the wet weather. But played his part in our stoppage domination and snuck fwd to kick a couple of goals too.

I don’t know if it will last all season but so far the 2 ruck combo is working well and I’d keep going with it.

Still not convinced even though he did stand up later in the game. Please convince me it's the right set up Ivan

4-2 with a 2 ruck setup. Small sample size but more good then bad so far.

Now that we resuscitated our season I’d be more inclined for the two ruck so nankervis isn’t completely stuffed if we do make it to September

Absolutely no need the last three weeks for two ruckmen.
Rnd 7 Wce Only oppo ruckman was Strnadica missing Naitanui, Williams and probably third choice Jamieson.
Rnd 8 Pies Cameron servicable player  Missing Grundy and Fwd who pinch hits Cox didnt play either.
Rnd 9 Hawks Lynch undersized third stringer behind Reeves and McEvoy.
Did we get enough out of Ivan to warrant his position.Or would it be better to play a different type. Not imo and i think we could easily have got by and been better off with a mid.

With Balta qnd now Pickett out

Who pinch hits to give Nank a chop out?

Soldo stays for now

Think there has been PLENTY of need
Every single minute Nank gets to rest is hugely beneficial for the pointy end of the season.

If we can give the big fella a good chop out and get the win, I think it’s huge ..

Would we go in with the same line up in a final, maybe not

But for some reason you aren’t thinking of the bigger picture Claw ..

Also .. if something happens to Nank , then Soldo having had time in the seniors this year can only be of benefit as well

But hey , let’s just throw in another midfielder

Averaging 1.33 goals and 20.33 hit outs over his last 3 games.

Laughable to suggest dropping him.

Nank also in much better condition and having a better impact for the backup.

Reckon the rucks are helping our clearances - Nank has been great this year and chop out helps him finish off games strongly.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Agree, For now.

I do find him a bit of a hindrance when we use him moving forward. He quite often fumbles or turns it over. But we need him out there ATM.
