Beating Essendon is always sweet. :thumbsup

What tonight emphasises for me is how much we need Rance to stay.
Our defensive structure will be stuffed without it.
Time and time again repelling Essendon attacks and marking, spoiling, smothering.
Right time, right place defender.

What I love in the last three weeks is kids like Ellis, Menadue and hopefully other kids getting games.
Sure they may not have an impact all game but it has sparked up the side, made selection more competitive and the side has played more accountable and competitive footy.

The kids don't have to be superstars they just need game time. Let them play.
Last week Menadue kicked an important goal in the last quarter, this week it was Ellis, in big wins for the RFC. The type of stuff that would make these kids feel that they belong at this level.

If only we had done this from Round 2.

Anyway, keep it up Tigers the new selection formula and attitude is working. :thumbsup

It was pure magnificence to see Fletcher subbed off in game 400 and to wave Essendon supporters good bye as they left with 2 minutes to go
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

pretty sure my neighbours know that i agree with you on that mat, and i live on a 5 acre block.

Taylor vacuums roosters. He is always the same when Richmond play.

Yep, I could hear you from my place Al and I was just as loud agreeing with you!!  BT is a tool.

Anyone notice Rance and Chaplin arguing a fair bit?

Chaplin is so unaccountable and Rance mops up his mistakes. He is awful in the air. I worry that if Rance is 50-50 on leaving it doesn't help he plays next to a lazy poor footballer in Chaplin.

Chaplins contract shouldn't be renewed. We need to find a ruckman to take over from Ivan when he retires, we need a big key defender to help Rance because Chaplin is nearly at the end, another inside mid and a pacy outside mid and small forward over the next 2 draft and trade periods.

I think you are drawing a long bow there Pope - our back six is probably our greatest strength at moment.

That's going to happen when the opposition has a 40 year old playing his 400th game.

Got the shock of my life seeing Dustin Fletcher's son run out with the team - looked old enough to be playing

if you cant put the ball between two sticks from a set shot, how can you pin point teamates coming from defense?

Think you'd find most people find it easier to kick to a person than through the goals.
