Dumb play once again cost us a chance of a goal and then gifts the Bombers another goal. Game over.

Final Score

Richmond   1.3     6.6      6.10      8.11-59
Essendon   6.2     9.4      11.9     15.13-103

Goals: Elton 2, Lloyd, McDonough, Gordon, Lennon, Cachia, Mellington

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Started off lethargically and, aside from a late 2nd qtr burst, we just dished up a terrible, dumb and undisciplined display all around. Add a dysfunctional forward line that offered nothing offensively from our talls and defensively leaked like a sieve and allowed easy rebounding Bomber goals.

Why was Elton playing forward? These kids can't develop if they cannot settle into a position.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Reckon McKenzie definitely has something special about him but don't reckon we'll be seeing for at least a year or two yet. Still miles away from VFL level, let alone AFL level.

Because the duds kept bombing it in and we needed a tall forward since there was no McBean. Funnily enough Elton was one of the better players once moved forward

That's  good question...pretty sure he was supposed to be FF but looked more like he was in no man's land most of the day, not sure he played the whole game either. Took a nice mark in the second but missed the shot.....set up another for Gordon IIRC.
