Enjoyed his hardness around the contest last night. We needed this and I thought he delivered.

Wasn't bad but he's the one I'd drop if we bring in CCJ.... :shh

Jake Aarts produced the best performance of his 24-game senior career with the Tigers in last Friday night’s loss to Brisbane at the Gabba.

Aarts finished the match with an AFL career-high 17 disposals, an AFL career-high eight marks, an equal AFL career-high four inside-50s, an AFL career-high 286 metres, two goals and five score involvements.

The 26-year-old has kicked at least one goal in each of Richmond’s 10 games so far this season, for an overall tally of 15, which places him third on the Club’s goalkicking list behind Jack Riewoldt (25 goals) and Tom Lynch (18 goals).

I thought he was our best small forward.

Better than both Castagna and Rioli put together.
The club that keeps giving.

Yep agree Willy, especially when you compare his output to that of George. Top 10 in our b&f if you stopped the count now, quite easily.

Haven't been a fan but he has proven his worth through adversity. Something Castagna never learns because he never gets dropped.

Incredibly limited skill wise but has gotten the best out of himself. If Dan Butler had his endevour he'd still be running around for us.

poos me to end that our smalls that have a red hot go are the ones with putrid skill level and the one with exceptional talent is the one that picks and chooses when he puts in

I feel like this guy's spacial awareness and agility have improved. He's cutting lines very well lately.

Anyway, have always been a fan. He's the guy with the effort that Rioli lacks. Combine them both and you have an A grade player. Currently you have Aarts a B grade all heart bloke and Rioli a C grade, talented but apathetic shadow of his Mia-Fev dating self.

First goalless match for the year but arguably his best....still not a fan though.. unlike Rioli, not convinced of his ability to stand up at the business end of the season when the whips are really cracking...... :shh
