David Warner’s manager James Erskine has given the clearest indication that the 2018 ball-tampering saga was wider than first reported, stating there were “far more” than three people involved.

“The truth will come out, let me tell you,” Erskine exclaimed.

“There’s lots of people. There’s two cricketers who put their hands up and said at the time, ‘Why don’t we all just tell the truth, they can’t fire all of us’. That’s what happened.

“Two senior executives were in the changing room in Hobart and basically were berating the team for losing against South Africa (in 2016) and Warner said we’ve got to reverse-swing the ball. The only way we can reverse-swing the ball is by tampering with it.

“And they were told to do it.

I feel for Warner only because compared to Smith and even Bancroft as he has been treated abysmally. Different set of rules for him and that's not right. Having said that his Manager making comments like he has doesn't help his client one iota

Personally I've always believed the 3 of them should have been banned for life but they weren't. Again MV Smith should have copped the biggest whack as he was Captain and in cricket under the rules ultimately he is responsible for what happened, the buck stops with him. But he didn't at he is currently captaining Australia again and that's just not right IMHO

Chanderpaul is great to watch, really enjoying him. In a couple of ways reminds me of his dad but he doesn't have that awkward stance lol.

Meanwhile Pak has bowled out Poms taking 10 spin wickets while the Poms still managed to score nearly 300 at almost 6rpo. Sounds like a terrible pitch again fmd who could be arsed watching it.

Ch 7 showed a split screen with his dad. Uncanny.

Chanderpaul got screwed by his nightwatchmen partner early on today. Left him high and dry halfway down the pitch when there a clear single on offer. A gift for the Aussies. It was brilliant run out by Starc by the way.

Hazlewood will also miss the first test against South Africa in Brisbane. So, Boland will keep his place in the XI and Neser will be the one to drop out for Cummins.
