Just when you think Cummins' captaincy can't get any worse he outdoes himself. :banghead

Shambles.

I figure all they need is 1.5 days play and this is over.

They could send Aussies into bat by tea tomorrow.

Absolute disaster.

Eng 4/384 at stumps. A lead of 67 runs.

Just shows how poorly we batted in the first innings with so many starts and no one going on to make a big score like Crawley did for England. Root's dismissal where the ball just died and kept very low bowling him will be making the Aussie batsmen nervous too.

Yep

And throw in our inept and gutless selectors and here we are

As soon as the English began and Cummins had 2 sweepers square of the wicket I just thought here we go, we're going to gift them runs.

I am not saying Murphy would have a difference (Cummins probably wouldn't have bowled him anyway >:()  but to not have any variety in that attack is pitiful and helped England on there merry way

Sun's shining at the moment

And it is clear we are just trying to waste time

And of course gifting them runs  :clapping

England will probably declare and put us in for a good 15-30 overs today, which is a good idea

If I was England

I'd declare now

We will be lucky to set them more than 100 runs

Australia can't rely on the weather to save them

There will be rain around lunch, declare after that, ball will swing and we will probably be bowled out before stumps.

Lunch and they're 8 for with a lead of 189

If it rains for a couple of hours, fingers crossed, I'd consider playing the bowlers ahead of the batting line up.

See if they can absorb some of the initial swing, let the pitch dry a bit, block their way to a draw.

Poms all out for 592 with a lead of 275.

Bairstow very entertaining with a rapid 99 off 81 not out before green caught Anderson LB.

Had a laugh but also applaud Bairstow, he exposed our bowling line up for the utter dog doodoo it has been, bar Hazelwood.

Anyway I expect us to be at least 5 wickets down by stumps. Need a miracle.
