Only if we are really that keen on Callaghan, and he would need to be a dead set gun you'd think.

Or Ward.

A Freo supporter on their forum has proposed this:

Richmond 2,19 in for 7,15,26 out ..................... leaves Rich with 2,19,27,28.

GWS 6,7 in for 2,13 out .................................. leaves GWS with 6,7,53,71.

Fremantle 13,15,26 in for 6,19 out ................... leaves Freo with 8,13,15,26,61.

Could that work if we used our 2022 first round instead of #7??

I'm guessing not if GWS believe we will make the finals next year and our future first ends up being a mid-teens pick. They would only do it if they thought we're going to finish 12th or lower next year.

THE DELISTED PLAYERS WORTH ANOTHER SHOT ACCORDING TO JACK RIEWOLDT:

“There’s a few hidden gems I reckon for teams to come in and grab as delisted free agents,” Riewoldt told SEN Hobart.

“Here’s a couple of names for you. Charlie Constable, he’s always been on the fringe at the Cats, I think he’ll get another gig somewhere else.

“Jarrod Brander was floated as a trade and then somehow has ended up a delisted free agent, Trent Dumont as well.

“Tyson Stengle’s going to get another go and he’s done it the right way.

“I think the addition of Eddie Betts down at Geelong is going to have a massive impact for Stengle. Lived with him in Adelaide and will provide the platform off-field for Tyson to play his best footy down there at the Cattery.

“Levi Casboult’s an interesting one, he’s going to the Suns to fill a role up there.

“Jack Lonie, he’s a good little small forward, but has been pushed out a little bit by the younger small forwards that have come through from the Saints.

“One name, and I think he will stay at Collingwood, but there may be a different suitor for him.

“At his best, and I’ve seen it first hand, he can singlehandedly win a game as he did in 2018 in the Prelim.”

The delisted free agency period will run between November 3rd and November 9th.

Brisbane and Greater Western Sydney have completed a pick swap, with the Giants keen to shore up some draft points in case they need to match any Academy bids during the NAB AFL Draft.

The swap will see the Giants receive pick 54 from the Lions in exchange for a future third-round selection (currently tied to Port Adelaide) that GWS received as part of Jeremy Finlayson's move to the Power.

"It ensures we're in a strong position to have flexibility across our selections as well as prepare for any Academy bids that may occur on the night," he said.

The Giants now have picks 2, 13, 53, 54, 71 and 89 in the upcoming NAB AFL Draft, to be held on November 24 and 25.

Richmond

Like the Dockers, Richmond may see Charlie Constable as a viable addition to aid their future midfield onslaught, with the club eyeing younger talent this off-season to bolster their own engine room.

The Tigers are set to enter the National Draft with arguably the strongest hand in the league, with several selections in the top 30 set to see an influx of youth.

The planning could see the Punt Road club place some attention to their key position stocks, having lost young pair Callum Coleman-Jones and Mabior Chol in the recent exchange window.

While they may still hold the cards to add to their onballer ensemble, Richmond may need to acquire some capital outside of the draft to replace their more senior midfield.

With Shane Edwards, Dustin Martin, Kane Lambert and Trent Cothcin headlining an ageing midfield, Constable could firm as a fitting option to at least stand as a reinforcement for the years to come.

Richmond now has five picks inside the top 30 – a terrific hand for a team somewhat regenerating its list while still being in the premiership window. But the fact it’s previously used its strong leverage – it put forward an offer to North Melbourne in an attempt to snare Pick 1 – suggests the club would be prepared to again package up a few selections to get higher up the draft order.

Foxfooty.com.au understands the Tigers also rate Giants academy prospect Fahey highly and could launch a bid on him with one of their second-round selections. The Giants are almost certain to match a bid on Fahey, but might need to bank more points prior to the draft to give them some comfort, especially if a bid does come in the second round.

The Giants’ Pick 2 is also in hot demand, as reported by foxfooty.com.au on Friday night, with multiple clubs keen to trade up to that selection in order to get their hands on young gun midfielder Fin Callaghan. Gold Coast (Pick 3), Adelaide (Pick 4), Hawthorn (Pick 5) and Fremantle (Pick 6) have all been heavily linked to the left-footed Callaghan, with both the Suns and Crows already making inquiries.

Rival clubs believe the Giants would be open to trading Pick 2 and prepared to strike a deal with a team that presents the best offer, but only if it meant the Giants could still secure their preferred prospect. It’s understood the Giants are seeking a key-position player – rather than a midfielder like Callaghan – at their first draft selection, with Dandenong Stingrays star Mac Andrew widely viewed as their top priority.

Richmond - Charlie Constable

Richmond's midfield is ageing. Shane Edwards, Trent Cotchin, Dustin Martin and Kane Lambert will all be over 30 by Round 1 next season.

Charlie Constable is just 22 years old, and was a shock delisting by the Cats. He did play three games earlier in the year (12 career games in total), but mainly found himself completely dominating the VFL this season.

Richmond have form in picking up stars at relative ease - just think Dion Prestia, Tom Lynch and Toby Nankervis' ahead of the 2017 flag.

Yeah, Prestia was a doddle only cost us pick 6. ::)
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

The news reckons the dogs pick 23 is being chased by clubs. I assume that means the dogs might party with it. Another top 30 pick for us? What have we got to give to get it.
