Hmmm not sure about Wallis, Brodie and Narkle. Has a moneyball feel to it. Wallis will be 29 at years end. The other two haven't really got many runs on the board but I guess I'll trust the club.

They will play CCJ with Lynch and he will stay. Chol going surely.

Cerra would have to take unders here, significantly.

You say moneyball like it’s a negative. It isn’t, low cost for high gain providing you don’t build an entire list with that approach.

If it's done right. We are doing it a lot better these days, but ultimately with guys like Cotchin, Houli, Astbury moving on you'd like to see some genuine quality come in too.

Brodie's name's been coming up in relation to us since he was drafted...wish it would stop... Wallis - could do a lot worse but surely not at his age which seems to contradict the supposed "rebuilding on the run" strategy....Narkle...meh....only if cheap and if it helps us keep Bolton.. :shh.

Adam Cerra set to sign 2year $1.5mil deal with @freodockers, says Peter Sumich on @913sportfm‘s #beforethefooty. “Sometimes you have to pay overs to keep players in WA”

No way is Cerra worth $750k per year!  :gobdrop

Shockers paying overs to keep him in WA...if he did come to us imagine it would be for a fair bit less than that... :shh

It will depend on where and how we finish this year. If we finish well short of the other contenders then we'll need to seriously review if there's another flag left in the current group as great as they have been. If not then I agree with should head to the draft and build the list for the next decade. We don't want to top up, fail and then hit a massive cliff like Hawthorn has.

Former Fremantle coach Ross Lyon thinks Carlton should target young Dockers midfielder Adam Cerra.

Herald Sun reporter Jay Clark told Lyon that he’s heard talk that Carlton will look to shed three young midfielders this off-season with the potential to bring Cerra in.

“You have a look at Lochie O’Brien, Sam Petrevski-Seton and Paddy Dow go out, and Adam Cerra come in,” Clark said on Triple M.

“That’s starting to be some of the talk around the recruiters and list managers.”

Narkle dropped by the Cats again tonight. So the whispers will continue to grow.
