Gold Coast looks set to take on Richmond next Thursday night as the AFL continues to work through its fixture for Round 16.

Yep, Dylan Leach tweeted it a couple of days ago

Foxtel exclusive game & they want us.

I now have 2 separate bookings, original 1 for up Friday back Sunday, & last night booked up Wednesday home Friday

It is was Friday night I might be able to do it

But Thursday night? No way I can do that

End of month, end of fin year are sort of busy times for an accountant

I have flights booked for the weekend only. Will likely still go up to see my family seeing I missed a very important family event the other week

But I had promised my great niece I'd take her to first game of footy. Will have to break her heart and tell she can't go

Im sure shocking would rather have us play at night to nullify our dominance on the scoreboard. This decision makes no sense, but it is shocking after all.

stuffs me over too and I only live an hour away in Brisbane. I was planning a weekend on the GC, pumping money into the local economy severely impacted by Covid. Oh well, guess I will drive down Thursday arvo and back late Thursday night in time for work on Friday.

Shocking is rightly to blame for most things wrong with the game these days

But he doesn't do the fixturing, has very little if any input

This monumental stuff up falls at the feet of one Travis Auld... formerly the CEO of the Gold Coast Suns... you'd think he'd have more of a clue but clearly not... to many lattes with Shocking and Gil perhaps  :banghead

In a rearranged fixture the AFL hopes to confirm on Friday afternoon, it is likely Gold Coast will host Richmond at Metricon Stadium on Thursday night.
