3rd round lol

How lame

How much do they know or not know about each other ffs

I've done two rounds for a job once but they already knew anyway, think they just wanted to back themselves up for when they let the other person down

Some overpaid headhunters, Goyder and another sycophant member of the commission.  Goyder will have the final say.

Or Gil is just lining the pockets of some mates before he goes

6. BRENDON GALE
Richmond CEO
Last year: 8

It makes no sense to a lot of people in football that he has not already been installed as the new AFL CEO when clearly, he is best credentialled for the job, at least externally. Question will be how long he stays on at Punt Road if he misses the main job. Tasmania?

Has anyone heard anything on this subject . Isn’t Gill supposed to step down by the “gather round”
As much as it would be amazing for Benny to get the gig I sure don’t want to lose him

I reckon they don't want him but know that they can't rule him out without looking biased.

He would probably fix too much crap for the better.

I reckon Benny gets it however 1 issue is in the way.

Tasmania. As a Tassie boy he's bias and I reckon that'd worry the AFL in that he'd make it his ultimate goal to get it up no matter what.
Go Tigers!

According to Tom Browne, the presidents were originally told Gill would move aside next Wednesday, but there's a Gala event then and with Gather Round the AFL will likely turn that round into a Gill celebration. Gill also still has the latest CBA to deal with over the coming months.

Good riddance, don't think he's done the game much good.

Hanging around like a bad smell.

Gee it'd be great if Gale came in and got rid of the stand + dissent rules etc.

REPORTS: MCLACHLAN'S FINISH DATE PUSHED OUT AGAIN AS REPLACEMENT SEARCH GOES ON

The Age and the Herald Sun are reporting that AFL chairman Richard Goyder called club presidents on Tuesday to inform them that McLachlan would stay on for another few weeks. He also reportedly explained that the league was yet to finalise its search for McLachlan’s successor.

As for his replacement, the league has kept its search a closely guarded secret. Around half a dozen candidates were interviewed in March, with AFL House’s Andrew Dillon and Travis Auld considered among the frontrunners.

Tom Browne on 7news just now claims Gill's replacement is down to two: the AFL's Andrew Dillon and Bulldogs' president Kylie Watson-Wheeler.

If true, that means Benny Gale is out.
