Richmond legend Michael Roach is in intensive care after suffering a heart attack.

- Heart attack last Tuesday.
- Stent put in which was only partially successful.
- Then had open heart surgery - had a triple bypass.
- Has had some difficult complications but his son Tom said doctors are confident of working through these in coming days.
- Optimistic Disco could be discharged from ICU as soon as tonight.

Once you've had a bypass you're usually good to go, albeit some permanent damage from the heart attack.

I suspect he'll be fine, which is great.

Whenever I think of Roach, I think of the old duffle coats with "8" on the back that everyone use to wear in the 70s-early 80s. One of things I regret I didn't keep mine :P.

* Clots removed from his lungs and a procedure to restore the normal rhythm of his heart.

* Disco feels much better and there's positive signs according to his family.
