I agree with camboon and WP - another Key Forward has to be top of our wish list now that we have (hopefully) addressed our contested ball issues with our two new midfielders. I would hope Blair has been on the case and has a target already lined up to take Jack's spot during next year's or (more likely) the following year's, trade period.

I'm a little greedy, so I have another wish. I've piled up the cookies and left out the whole carton of milk for Santa for this one - I want Taranto and Hopper to gel with our existing midfielders and turn our greatest weakness into our greatest strength. We have a strong backline and the league's highest-scoring forward line. If we could have a powerful midfield giving the likes of Lynch, Jack, Cumberland and Dusty more opportunities up forward then we could be nigh unstoppable.

Please Santa, I've been a good(ish) boy. Please forget the bike, the sex toys and everything else on my old wish list - I just want those two things please!!!

RICHMOND

Christmas wishlist:
The best at their best

Injury prevented some of the Tigers’ best players from consistently playing at their best, while for Dustin Martin it was personal circumstances that saw him spend some time away from the game before a hamstring concern also curtailed him. The likes of Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper appear to be plug-and-play additions, so the best-case scenario for the Tigers is that the other established guns can be fit and firing enough to get them into the finals and hopefully supercharge their September campaign as opposed to this season.

Every AFL team’s Christmas wish list

What does your club want to find under the tree this year?

Richmond

Dusty back at his brilliant best

The Tigers did plenty during the trade period, acquiring both Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper from the Giants. They've been given back the traditional season opener against Carlton, and Jack Riewoldt is set to go around again in 2023. All seems well at Punt Road, but everything could always be better.

Superstar Dustin Martin played just nine games in 2022, taking personal leave early in the season before being sidelined with a hamstring injury after Round 16 and despite plenty of media speculation that Dusty could be on the move, he will remain in yellow and black next season.

With the Tigers looking like genuine threats in 2023, Martin returning to his best will be one of the biggest weapons in Damien Hardwick's arsenal.

We dont have any new shiny key forwards to play so hopefully Santa can find a way to turn Miller or Balta into half decent key fwds and young Ryan develops as a ruck/fwd.

Improving this area will have to be done from within even if we take Bradtke he will take time to develop.
