Burnout my arse
6 yrs for the Gold Coast isn’t the actions of a man that is burnt out

Maybe it was the environment - I recently changed hospitals and feel very rejuvenated - was probably going to quit otherwise.

But yes it's hard to believe especially when he's committing to a huge 6 year contract lol

I think we're probably better off though anyway. Time had come

^This.

Changing of environment can absolutely refresh someone. Not to mention he will likely start around November which will mean he would have been off galavanting around the world for 5+ months. How long does everyone think you need to refresh? I’d be happy with 5 weeks off work let alone 5 months.

When I was made redundant (happily I might add) I took 10 months off before I thought about going back to work

At the time I didn't realise how cooked I was until I actually stopped.  ;D

Well people can keep whining. See where it gets them.

An alternative was that he stuck around for a few more mediocre years with us and then we had an unhappy split like Clarko at Hawthorn.

It was clear that his time with us was coming to an end.

Couldn’t give a stuff what he does now.

Agreed Slickster.

Let him do his thing up there. I wish him no luck or a no ill will. I don't care about GC and I hope this thread never gets updated again
