Thought your stupidity was mostly just an act at first but it's becoming clearer by the day that you're the genuine article.. :shh

Pathetic

I seem to have said that alot this year

So much to play for and yet again we didn't show up

The lack of leadership on the field is again a glaring beacon. But why bang on about it? Unless the co- captain's put their hands up to step aside they will likely remain

Noah Balta, yet again they got in his head and his head dropped

The bloke people have anointed as our next captain misses sitter after sitter. And when we needed him to stand up andclead he was like the others MIA

Soldo, just don't get me started.

Only positives were Dow and Bauer. The rest of them played like they have checked out and didn't turn up. It was yet again embarrassing....

They say they want McQualter as coah and they dish up that for him.

Just a wasted season, wasted

AFL Report Card: Round 22

Ben Waterworth, Ben Cotton, Catherine Healey and David Zita
Foxsports
14 August 2023

RICHMOND

If not previously, you can now put a line through the Tigers’ season after they were well beaten by St Kilda at Marvel Stadium. It continued Richmond’s woes at the venue after also getting blown off it last week by the Western Bulldogs, where most of the damage was also largely done in the opening quarter. The Tigers looked tired and feeling the pinch of a long season including the transition of their senior coach, but will try and salvage something against North Melbourne at the MCG next week.

In the votes

Though Rowan Marshall had the better of him, Toby Nankervis fought bravely with 16 touches, seven tackles and 28 hit-outs. Tim Taranto (24 disposals, seven tackles, one goal) and Jayden Short (26 touches, seven marks) were also two of the Tigers’ best.

Room for improvement

Richmond was always playing catch-up after conceding five goals straight in the first quarter alone. Andrew McQualter’s side never really recovered from that point. They really struggled to contain Max King, who had a season-best six goals, with Noah Balta playing far too loose. At the other end of the ground, Jacob Bauer and Liam Baker were the Tigers’ only multiple goalkickers with two each.

Grade

D

POSITIVES & NEGATIVES FOR ROUND 22

Andrew Slevison
SEN
14 August 2023

The Key Takeaway: Another passive performance

Richmond surrendered its season to the Western Bulldogs last week.

But not much changed against St Kilda this weekend.

Some players were jogging around Marvel Stadium like they’d lost interest. It was a passive performance which lacked intensity.

It feels like the playing group has shut up shop in the past fortnight which has been disappointing.

Finals are now still mathematical but highly unlikely.

The Negative: Marvel hoodoo continues

Richmond’s standards drop immeasurably at Marvel. It’s quite baffling.

Since former coach Damien Hardwick said he and the club don’t like going to the venue, the Tigers have fallen in a hole under the roof. They have lost seven and drawn one of their last eight there.

It has become a massive problem.
