8 Man U players died in the 1958 Munich disaster and of the 9 that survived, just 5 played again. Bobby Charlton was only 20 at the time of the crash. It took Man U a number of years to recover onfield following the tragedy, but Charlton was their star player and captain when they won the league in 64-65 & 66-67 plus the 1968 European Cup (Bill Foulkes was the only other survivor to play in that match). Charlton was also obviously part of England's 1966 World Cup win. A true legend of the sport. RIP.
