He can still wind back the clock sometimes, jag a few goals in a top 4 side, and he still gets the Dangerflop frees in front of goal 25m out.

But if the cats want to compete they'll need to rely on someone else.

He is playing forward.

He got 60 goals / assists and +15 touches and is very good on the eye test.

They have Cameron and curnow to 'rely' on and a skew of other 40+ goal a season guys

The bloke is an A grade flog and easy to hate, which clouds judgement regarding how good he is

Been an absolute champion and is still a very good player in his new role

Not taking away from his PF performance but using that as an excuse for him still being a gun is silly.

It was a gun performance from a guy with all the brains and skill but his body is mostly past it.

 He is past his best but as a pinch hitter and mentor I would keep him on the list for a year or two.

Regardless, I think he's generally overrated during his career - similar to Naicos, but not as bad.

I think he's over the hill and won't consistently be able to get them over the line, even though he had 1 amazing game in the second half of the 2025 season for the Preliminary Final, and therefore shouldn't be relied upon to keep winning them clutch games - such as the grand final where you could clearly see how past it he was.


Yeah he'll sit in the forward line, jag a few goals in a top 4 team beating up on some minnows, have the odd day out where he winds back the clock and gets 30 touches etc. Doesn't mean you keep building premiership plans around him LOL
