I'm currently sitting in the QANTAS club at Hobart airport

What a pathetic, disgraceful, gutless and embarrassing display.

Worst performance of the year by a long way.

All the goodwill built up this season, a lot of it obliterated in 3 qtrs of footy

I don't want to hear it wasn't up to standard. I want to hear an apology to all members and supporters for embarrassing the Club and jumper today

People won’t agree but Yze isn’t the answer. I think we saw his inability to reset at h/t against an ordinary side as clear evidence.

We will not start the properly build until they replace him.

But in other games we’ve come back from behind and won ? I think he’s shown plenty as a coach, we just need to get the list right which is the most long and painful process

How can you let a bloke get:

54 disposals
• 2 goals
• 7 marks
• 5 tackles
• 15 score involvements
• 6 clearances
• 8 inside 50s
• 186 AFL Fantasy

He is a good player but that's not acceptable and it's got to start with the coach

Feeble effort. Felt we lost this game at the selection table. Failure to bring in  Gibcus showed a lack of courage.

100%

It’s one thing to let a player run wild when you are winning the game and they’re not really changing the result. But to get killed in midfield and do nothing about it is weak. I don’t know why he didn’t throw Ross onto him. He’s done it multiple times this season but just chose to lay down today????

So, the outcome of today is that we swapped pick 3 for pick 2 and pick 2 for pick 3.

Me so sad BUT we have had 5 more wins than everyone predicted, we have a very young group, injuries and suspensions have made it difficult, I think we are going OK.

After getting obliterated out of the centre in that 2nd qtr we  started the 3qtr with the exact same starting mids. Zero accountability for Sheezel. We can’t use youth as an excuse with Prestia, Taranto, Hopper and Nank vs Xerri, Wardlow, LDU and Mr 54.
Remember, he was schooled under Goodwin - a famous non changer.

A team with the experience we had today - more experienced than the Roos - turned up it’s toes far too easily.

A really disappointing day and while it doesn’t undo the good work of those 5 wins, it’s a real pattern that we give up when the going gets tough. That goes beyond youth.

It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

So is it the players or the coach?

I’m not a fan of this midfield mix at all but it is what it is right now, Campbell isn’t a mid, Hotton is a kid and everyone else is injured. I fear it’ll still get worse before it gets better

Perhaps it’s a little of both but ultimately the coach has to find a way to get more when we are swimming against the tide. We were able to do it in round 1. Perhaps it is something Yze can develop as a relatively new senior coach but it’s a glaring issue that needs addressing.

Everyone seems to think our midfield is better than it actually is but I think it should be beaten moat games we play because we just don’t have the midfield depth. There is no chopping our mids out and no variety. When the likes of Taranto and Hopper get replaced by the likes of Sonsie and Dow at the centre bounce, we are stuffed.
We need to add three mids ASAP and another three to cover impending retirements.

We have Lalor, Smillie, McAuliffe and Hotton all to add to the depth, just gonna take time. Even more time with all these injuries

It's time to start adding a free agent or 2 this year.

We started with bachar and it's time now to start. A midfielder would be nice who isn't getting game time.

Imagine if we lost hopper and tt this year? Serpel and Yze would be dead men walking.

Need to get improving.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

While understand your point Frankie. Personally I wouldn't be going after free agents this year

And TBBH  I doubt we'd attract any anyway

My view is...

We go to the draft and being in more young talent to compliment what we've got. 2027 onwards we go after free agents.
