Very lucky there. We all pushed up the ground with no one back defending and allowed the Pies to get out the back. Lucky the Pie missed an absolute sitter running into an open goal.

Poor kick by the Pies outside D50 is intercepted by Miller. Goes back inside 50 and Scott is taken high in the tackle 25 out in the pocket. Misses everything going narrow side. No score :P.

Play stopped. Cox down. Pie shiftfronted her after disposal and bumped her high.

That sums us up as to why we don't score. Too busy handballing trying to get someone free and eventually just coughing it up to the opposition defence rather than creating and finding a free teammate by foot for a mark and set shot.

Gresier ping on the siren misses.

Half time

Richmond    4.2    4.4-28
Coll'wood     1.1    2.2-14

Goals: Brennan, Greiser, Bacon, McKenzie.

A game between two ordinary sides. The Pies had the breeze/scoring end that quarter but we had more than enough chances to kick goals ourselves. We were lucky that quarter the Pies are crap and didn't punish us for our mistakes and butchered chances inside F50.

1st qtr was excellent

2nd qtr we reverted to standard. Zero structure and for reason only the coach can explain we decided to defend our lead.  :help :wallywink :banghead

Our that negative mindset has continued in the 3rd quarter  :banghead.

Imagine kicking 50m backwards to the opposition goalsquare  :P.

Pies gifted the ball in their front half and they've got the first goal of the second half.

Graham at HB gets 50. So we finally can go inside F50. Ex-Tiger Frederick takes the mark but her pass is poor letting us in. Wicksteed by the boundary centers it and Brennan gathers, ducks under the tackle, and gets her foot to the ball to kick the goal  :gotigers. Totally against the run of play.

Rich   5.4-34
Coll    3.3-21

Beruldsen is injured (didn't see how) is being chaired off the ground by the trainers.

3/4 time

Richmond    4.2    4.4     5.4-34
Coll'wood     1.1    2.2    3.3-21

Goals: Brennan 2, Greiser, Bacon, McKenzie.

Pies dominated that quarter with the ball in their forward half, but they didn't put it on the scoreboard. Just lucky we got that goal against the run of play. As WP said, we haven't had any team structure especially forward of the ball since quarter time.
