Cummings and Peuker are cousins

Thought it was a throwaway term, didn't realise they were actually related.

So we're likely to have 4 kids from the SA U18 team - Cumming, Grlj, Peucker and Kellaway. Should be nice for them as a group.

Have to say Grlj seems quite entertaining as a kid. Bet the players are charmed to have him.

Roberts-Thomson and Kellaway are apparently good mates

I like those stats.

Just translate it all to AFL level and I'll forgive the Kellaway snub :lol

Heard through the grapevine that Richmond had Peucker a top 20 prospect. Probably why Rhy Gieschan was so confident we’d “get our player”

The players Peucker models his game on

“I like watching a lot of (Brisbane’s) Zac Bailey and (Western Bulldogs’) Rhylee West, the way they go about it, and they’re pretty good players. I like to watch them,” Peucker said.

Peucker was a dominant force for the Woodville West-Torrens U/18s this year, averaging 25 disposals, 1.5 goals, and 5.5 score involvements per game.

He was particularly prolific late in the year, with 34 disposals and two goals in a narrow loss to West Adelaide in Round 14, and 31 touches and three majors the following week against Norwood.

Peucker also booted a goal in every game he played for the National Championship-winning South Australia, where he was a teammate of fellow Richmond draftee Sam Cumming.

“It’s definitely something you can’t really speak about. The feeling…I’ve never felt anything like it, it feels amazing,” he said about being drafted.

“It’s always been something I wanted to do, but it’s only really come in the past couple of months when I got invited to the national combine, and now here I am.

“It’s very exciting. To have the opportunity to play at the highest level is something I’m very grateful for.”

Might be tough. A quick glance at the afl stats this season show only Heeney. Richards. Bont. Have put up those kind on numbers at top level.

Interesting however puker has better disposals. I50s. Goals stats and similar clearance numbers to Willem Duursma. For their respective clubs this season. (U18s)

One thing of concern is his 2km trail was pretty bad so hopefully he can get fit.

I’ll be pretty surprised if Duursma doesn’t turn out a gun

This kid looks great. Has that power about him and he should be able to be a part of midfield rotations as well.

We have been screaming out for real good small forwards for years and Algar, Hotton and chucky look to have  bought something to our small fwd stocks and midfield as well. A bit of the Toby greens about this kid i think, just quicker.

Mansell, Rioli and Green should be looking over their shoulders.

Mansell of them will likely play senior footy next year simply because of his aggression and experience but its good to know kids are coming who can take his spot away. We also now have a few medium sized mid  players who can go forward as well.
