Round 14 stats: Jack Riewoldt top target inside 50 in Richmond’s win over Brisbane LionsHerald Sun
June 29, 2016 4:01pmIF Dustin Martin is considered a shoo-in for the three Brownlow Medal votes, then teammate Jack Riewoldt has to be a lock for the two votes after his virtuoso performance in Richmond’s 42-point win over Brisbane last Saturday.
The Tigers forward played arguably his best game of the year against the Lions with four goals and 10 marks (four contested) and 21 disposals that resulted in a round-high 161 SuperCoach points, his highest return since he kicked 11 goals against GWS in 2014.
Riewoldt didn’t let down his teammates, who made the star spearhead their target 20 times with their inside-50 entries.
His nine inside-50 marks was the equal second-most in a match this season — behind Eagle Josh Kennedy’s 10 marks, which was also against Brisbane.
