I am  still in disbelief he tagged Rodan today, he has lost it.! ::)

I found it ironic that Wallace gave him the ass last year but then places a tag on him now  :banghead

Probably more due to Eade's coaching than anything.

Who cares if we have the doggies model, look where they are right now, in the 8.

Tell me you don't want that Jack.

If they had dominant key forwards and good key defenders they would be in contention for the flag.

Rather have the Hawks or Geelong models.
Both teams have good sized players around the ground and I seen what the Cats did to them on Friday nite, no thanks.

What was Wallace's record with at the Bulldogs re. developing youngsters? I am more than happy to be proven wrong and don't have the time to do the research, but I get the feeling he inherited a tough core and added very little to it while he was there.
Don't know about how he developed, but these are the players he drafted - mixed bag!

1997

18 – Mark Alvey
47 – Robert Stevenson
63 – Anthony Aloi
74 – Paul Digiovine

1998

14 – Luke Penny
30 – Nicky Winmar
46 – Jay Solomon
73 – Christin Macri (Rookie list)

1999

13 – Robert Murphy
32 – Daniel Giansiracusa
35 – Patrick Wiggins
43 – Lindsay Gilbee
58 – Patrick Bowden
66 – Ryan Hargrave

2000

10 – Jordan McMahon
26 – Shane Birss
56 – Daniel Cross
70 – Wayde Skipper

2001

10 – Sam Power
42 – Kieren McGuinness
57 – Brent Colbert
71 – Brian Harris
83 – Aaron James

2002

4 – Tim Walsh
17 – Cameron Faulkner
20 – Will Minson
33 – Brad Murphy
35 – Scott Bassett
49 – Cameron Wight

IIRC there were some people here (and I'm not talking about anyone specifically, just can't remember who they were) that were glad to see the last of Rodan.

Agree with Jake,

as much as Thursty and McGuane try their hearts out. They are way too skinny and you cant see them getting a whole lot bigger.

Neither will be a KPP and could possibly be fighting for the one spot in the overall scheme of things.

Have a look at the Cats from Friday night, they have big bodied players and it makes a impact on the smaller players like the Bulldogs have.

Thats what Wallace will develop at Punt Road and it WONT win a flag.

Sure it will be successful but not to he pinnacle and thats what its all about.

Wallace must go.

But Geelong have been gifted so many players, and not to mention players who have key roles.

Scarlett, Gablett and Nablett, Hawkins, Blake were all gimme F/S.

If only we had that kind of luck

Go and have a good look at the following players

Selwood. 2006  Draft
Egan      2004 Draft
Stokes   2005 Draft
Varcoe   2005 Draft
Prismall  2004 draft.  ( named best first year player for the cats last year)

Selwood is the best young player I have seen for the past 5 years .

McGuane - Showed a lot IMHO, clean hands, plays with enthusiasm

Except for the first quarter where he fumbled three times.  However after that he played extremly well and Terry mentioned him and Thursty in the press conference as being the top backman while the experienced men had to lift.  :thumbsup

yeah, but Selwood WAS taken before our first pick...before our ORIGINAL first pick too for that matter.
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.
