We keep winning and Charlie could end up around Cotch's neck by the end of year. Elite isn't a strong enough word for the way he's playing now. Cotch is becoming an absolute freak. That once in a generation footballer that as a footy club you'd die for. He's so strong in the hips and has great balance he rarely gets knocked off the ball or loses his feet in traffic and his awareness is out of this world. That 20m handball out of the corner of his eye behind him to Jack on the wing was unbelievable.
agree totally MT.
I have a few friends that follow the cats and after watching the tigers games I normally get a few texts from them saying he is just like Abblett jnr.
Apparently he's ahead of him in all the key stats at the same age but i'm not really sure about that.

I have alot of guy love for him & my kids know all about it. So glad he's wearing the yellow & black.
The club that keeps giving.

Al I should clarify and say best player in the last 5 years in the whole league not just richmond
You know what....the fact that you really didn't need to clarify that statement, but we still understood it's context, speaks volumes regarding how much we all respect the kid.

nah, he did need to clarify it for me    :thumbsup
i just took it as meaning richmond   :wallywink,

(probably because i have said a number of times to friends recently that he is best player i have seen at richmond in long time)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

I wouldn't worry about whether he is ahead of ablett at the same time, it's all about how much they improve, Gaz went from average to superstar. Dane swan was a lmao player, shocking, is absolutely elite. Not that I don't think cotch will be elite, almost already is but I cringe when I hear that about our players - tabling was also ahead of McLeod in all key stats after 3 years lol

The blessed one has strapped the team on his back, and we are in for one hell of a ride.

Could he be to Richmond, what James Hird was for Essendon all those years ago...

He was a champion. Indeed for a 2 year period he played the game in a way that I have never seen any other player play it. He was robbed of a Norm Smith medal in a grand final, if he was our player we would all claim him as a champion.
