Rance spotted in Chambers Street, South Yarra leading a group of JW to an apartment block.

I know the lady who runs the building and she was outside with her 8 year old when they saw Rance in a suit. They were out the front when they were approached by other JW to discuss "their future"and also be allowed to knock on the apartments doors. I take this as pretty much fact, knowing a few JW in my life and also who told me.

He wont be coming back IMO, JW have him now.

For those who are heavily religious, in their mind it supercedes everything else.

Rance is also 30, coming off a ACL, hasn't played for a year and hasn't trained for over a month. The longer he is gone the more it becomes unlikely.

For the Club it does allow us to spread out upcoming retirements and manage our list and salary cap more easily. So in the mid-long term it may be advantageous.

Thing is (and apologies for the cliche), Rance is a once in a generation player. Things that might normally mean you write a player off don't really apply to him as far as I'm concerned.

If he comes back hungry after 6 months and can get fit and match ready and we can use him, its a no brainer.

Of course, we can try spin it so we take away some positives, but I still feel robbed of 2-4 years of quality football from a champion. All respect to his personal decision aside.
