Mick Ablett was on North's rookie list for a year (in 2000) but never played an AFL game. Played with Frankston in the VFL after that before becoming the AFL's national talent manager and then head of the WAFL's colts program and talent pathway.

The annual Essendon preseason love-fest from the media  .

Only a preseason game but it's always fun to see when the annual Essendon over-hyped over summer bubble gets pricked early and Bomber supporters go into meltdown .

Imagine losing your last 2 games by 200 points collectively then fronting up to your first competitive hit out since and losing by another 10 goals.

This list needs to finish stuffn last for the next 5 years and have our current recruiting team marched out immediately along with most of this tainted list.

What I cant stuffn understand is how teams still let us piece together junk wins during the course of a season to prevent us from finishing bottom 3.

Problem is, performances like those affect all players and their confidence…For mine, we do have to try remain calm and see how the team responds down at the Cattery next week. There is no alternative.

But if we’re ■■■■■ again and we get whipped by Hawthorn in R1 then let the debate go feral … Personally I’m as tired as all of us having to witness an insipid EFC bunch out there on the ground.
