COLLINGWOOD star forward Travis Cloke has been hurt in a confrontation with several men while holidaying in Queensland.
The 21-year-old was with friends in a holiday unit in Maroochydore, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, on New Year's Eve, when they were disturbed by a group of people in a unit above them.
"There were some blokes throwing ice around, skylarking and I think interfering with the group that Travis was in, including a couple of girls," Magpies chief of football operations Geoff Walsh said.
"They were throwing ice. I think the ice hit some of Travis' party.
"They went upstairs to the next unit and said 'boys, tone it down a bit.'
"Travis and his mate were apparently set on by a number of guys."
Cloke was taken to hospital after the incident with a suspected cheekbone fracture, but discharged shortly after.
Collingwood medical staff were planning to further examine him when he returned to Melbourne.
