The difference is Spud's first two years were quite decent (we were screwed by a mass list injuries in second half of 2000) before the disasterous drafting and top ups under his reign plus an inability to adapt to changes in footy itself kicked in and we spiralled into the abyss in his last 3 years
. Wallace is looking to finally achieve finals in his 5th year so the trend of his "graph" is aiming upwards if we get to September this year. Even if he fails, the next coach will have a good young list to build upon and state of the art resources at his disposal which is something Plough didn't have when he started.
