Carnell to Horne and long inside 50 again. Jack can't quite get it and Cleve's effort wasn't so good. Pies run it up the other end but it rebounds Coburg's way again. Jordie to Hislop who gets the free. Passes it to Patto. Off hands and Edwards smartly goes backwards to Connors. Touched by man on mark and point.

Pies get a goal back. 22 mins gone.

Rusling did a hip and shoulder on Edwards. Edwards down.

Edwards is off dazed and confused whereas Rusling has redone his shoulder.

Jack makes ground and outmarks two opponents. 25m out. Skews off the boot and rolls out of bounds. He gets it again from the boundary throw-in and snaps a point.

All over ..... SIREN!  :gotigers.

Final score.

Jack on SER

* Good win. Needed after two losses. Fought hard today. Not so good first half but second half it clicked.

* Better ball use helps. Went into half-time and Rawlings pointed out we overpossessed with 80k and 124h. So we addressed that and turned it around in the second half.

* Hi to dad who's listening.

Kingy

* Boys have been "blowing" over the week off with the bye after the last couple of losses and we wanted to come out and show something today. Hopefully the Richmond boys have a win tomorrow.

Bourkey - assistant coach

* Frustrating 2nd quarter. Just overpossessed by hand with 125h. Started winning the clearances in the 3rd quarter and we went longer to Jack and Schulz.

Bourkey's bests:
Thomson's clearance work was really good all day
Liddle
Hislop both up forward and midfield
Patto in the ruck
and of course Jack with six goals.

SER bests:

McMahon, Liddle, Clarke all 30 possies each.

Game came down to that last 5 minutes in the 3rd quarter so hard to find dominate players apart from Jack.

Hislop was good at the contest. Tough footballer.

Carrick drifted out of the game after half-time

JON has 20 possies. More a floater though and no damaging goal set-ups though.

Likewise Connors isn't damaging finding plenty of the ball out wide on the wing.

Cleve should go back to VFL ressies  :P.

Story of the day was Riewoldt. Jack has really come on as a footballer. His marking is freakish.

Yep its ridiculous. Coburg at least plays with some forward structure where Jack doesn't have to be the lone No.1 tall forward and the ball comes in long and direct (after half-time today) which gives the forwards some chance without having 18 defenders in their space.
