Morabito question
« on: August 26, 2009, 10:29:20 PM »
Just checking some WAFL stats and ask why he appears to only have played for Peel twice in the last 10 or so weeks ?

Also noticed he gives away lots of frees , a couple of games had 5 against and none for

Any WAFL watchers out there who may know

During the middle rounds he would've been at the U18 Champs instead as were all the top kids. Not sure why round 18 was his last game. Maybe he went back to the Peel ressies?

Here's Morabito's stats:
http://www.waflonline.com.au/players/player.php?playerID=12869

Height: 190cm, Weight: 90kg, DOB: 29/10/91
Recruited from: Harvey Brunswick

AFL site: Quick, versatile and super athletic winger who starred at NAB AFL U18 Championships, receiving WA’s MVP award and All-Australian honours. Pace, kicking and marking are all strengths. AIS-AFL Academy graduate.

Burgatron: His status has grown, particularly after his best-on-ground performance against South Australia at Subiaco Oval. Named All-Australian, the run-and-carry midfielder is now regarded as a top five selection. Top three is not out of the question.

Looks like one player that could be playing R1.  That height and weight stat is huge for a draftee midfielder.

Kicking skills are questionable (apparantely - I haven't seen him play). Had a kicming effeciency of 65% in the U18 carnival. Praying that Trengrove is there at No 3.
We will rise again and when we do, they will know.

Happy to have him or Trengrove, a bigger midfieder with good skills who can play forward. Glad we have 3rd pick

Prefer Butcher or Trengove. My concern over Morabito is he seems an outside player/flanker from what I've seen even with his size.

Butcher would be good but I still think he would be good and could develop nicely.

I also likes Grimes but whats the chance, you heard any feed back on what Brisbane or any other club (heard there is interest elsewhere) are willing to give for Rainsy.
