Top reporting and pics WP  :cheers

Great to hear Cotch is fully training  :thumbsup.

Interesting to hear Goo was tried at FB. I would've thought his dodgy kicking wouldn't make him a backman. I still believe Edwards is too small to play back down there as well. With Polo moved forward it seems Hardwick is starting from scratch and will trial players in different positions this year to see how they will go.

Not surprised that our footskills are still an issue. That's something that's going to take a couple of years to fix as we turnover the list and sort out who can and can't kick.

Apart from Martin, did any of the other newbies impress you WP?

One name I don't think i've seen in any of the dispatches is Mcmahon. Any one shed any light on how he is travelling and where, if anywhere, Hardwick seems to have in mind for him.

Just to save some of you the trouble I'll put up the answer "Coburg" now.

Roberts & Taylor silky skills

Was impressed with Astbury (or was it Dea  ;D) skill wise but needs bulk and alot of it  ;D

O'Reilly the irish kid is a very good kick for someone so new to the game - hit a target a couple of times from 40 metres.

Contin (well I am assuming it was Contin - they kepy calling him Paddy  ;D) is quick and has fast hands but I noted Hardwick a couple of times told him to go harder at the contest and present.

Mitch Farmer gets it but kicking let him down

He was playing HB & mid field during the match drills. Still too skinny and his kicking at itmes was poor but there was more good kicks than bad  ;D. His tackling is still a worry ....he doesn't tackle enough

Great stuff WP, you obviously took in more than your first report details..... which I might add was great.... so if you would like to elaberate more on the training session then I won't mind.... :lol :thumbsup

Great to hear Post and the rest of the players you mentioned performed well, gives me some more confidence that we will go a lot better than people think.. :shh

RT's report on BF from today. A guide to possibly our current best 18?

--------------------------------
Just got back from todays session which was a full scale practice match. The teams seemed to be a best available 18 versus the rest plus some Coburg players. The yellow team was:

B: Edwards Post Rance
HB: Newman Moore Tambling
C: McMahon Deledio Cousins
HF: Hislop Riewoldt Taylor
F: Morton Polak Polo
R: Graham Thomson Martin
Note: Graham Browne Vickery rotated through the ruck on both sides.

Whites were made up of everyone else with the exception of: Jackson Cotchin Foley McGuane Simmonds Nason Griffiths Roberts who were either in the rehab group or weren't training at all.

Cheers WP. Looking forward to seeing Contin in action as a number of people seem very impressed with him. As for Roberts I guess good skills is a strength of his whereas he needs to work on his fitness.
